Our nextstep service is designed to help improve job prospects, encourage further learning and to provide information about childcare, funding for studying and to provide help if you are disabled.

NRF Norwich…Healthy Futures

The Norwich NRF project provides extra support for hard to help clients in the Mile Cross and Mancroft wards of the city, by providing free, on-going help and support the project aims to improve clients’ confidence and assist in achieving goals, through mentoring and guidance provision.

As with the Great Yarmouth NRF project clients can be unemployed, a lone parent, from an ethnic minority, have a disability or learning difficulty or lack qualifications. Clients have been helped to build confidence and self esteem, overcome a variety of barriers, find out about courses and training, create CV’s, gain new skills and generally move their lives forward

6000 copies of two ‘user friendly’ publications have been produced for use with clients and for general distribution including an A4 magazine for job hunters ‘Making your future Work’ and a small job hunting ‘passport’ called ‘Hints for job seekers’. A variety of self help and careers related publications have also been purchased for the use of clients, which are housed in the Norwich Forum Learning Shop, for use by NRF clients and Norwich based partner organisations.

NRF Great Yarmouth and Gorleston

NGS is providing information, advice and guidance in North, Central and South Yarmouth and
the areas of Southtown, Cobholm, Claydon, St Andrews and Magdalen.

Advisers have helped individuals by providing one to one Careers Guidance and funding Vocational Training, Workshops e.g. confidence building and CV development, tasters and work placements.
