Introducing: Doug Hunt
Work Location:
I work as a ‘nextstep’ Adviser in Norwich and Great Yarmouth and will be offering skill-based workshops as part of the NRF project in Norwich.
Qualifications and brief work history:
I have various GCSE and CSE qualifications, a City and Guilds in Horticulture, A level Maths and Physics and an HND in Information Technology.
I come from a teaching background and have covered a wide variety of subjects including IT, cookery, creative writing, painting and decorating and plastering.
I have worked with people with disabilities, clients with learning difficulties and ex-offenders.
My work history looks like this….
Baker, Soothills Bakery, Chef at Butlins, Refuse Collector, Broadland District Council, Call Centre Manager at HMSO, MOD Operations Manager at HMSO, Head of Department for office machinery at Tactica Solutions, Self employed Plasterer and Painter and Decorator, Adult Tutor for Adult Education working as a self employed sessional tutor.
What I enjoy about my work:
I particularly like working with people on a one to one basis, finding out what makes them tick and working closely with them to help them achieve their own personal goals.
