Qualifications and brief work history:
NVQ level 4 in Guidance, RSA Counselling Skills in the Development of Learning, British Sign Language level 1, City and Guilds Community and Welfare Studies/Care and Practice Skills.
I was born and educated in the USA, then moved to the UK, travelled around Europe and started work in the insurance industry. Eventually I returned to full-time education as a mature student with interests in Psychology, Sociology, Counselling and Sign Language.
I have also had a variety of voluntary work experience included working in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre , a family support unit, a women’s refuge, special needs and mainstream schools.
What I enjoy about my work:
Meeting a wide variety of people with different views, experiences, needs and attitudes.
