I work in Norwich prison, NORCAS (Drug and Alcohol Support), various hostels around the city and within the NRF contract around the Mile Cross area.
Qualifications and brief work history:
I have an NVQ 3 in Information, Advice and Guidance. I also have a Diploma in Theatre Studies and an Australian qualification in Dance Teaching. I am in the process of doing an NVQ Level 3 in Support Worker/Counsellor Volunteer with SeVA (Sexual Violence Alliance).
In the 1960s I was a Go Go dancer and also taught dance and theatre studies. I have worked as care assistant working with people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and have worked in a variety of information roles, including helping with the information libraries within Norfolk Careers Services.
What I enjoy about my work:
Providing the best service I can to clients, giving appropriate support, information, guidance and support.
It’s good to see clients gaining greater confidence and self esteem.
